Should units that are “temporarily closed” be included in the number of “open” units we’re reporting?

We understand some franchise systems may still be affected by restrictions and shutdown orders in various localities due to the pandemic. For the purposes of the Franchise 500, units that are temporarily closed on 7/31 but expected to reopen at some point in the future may be included in your “open units” count. Units that have been sold but never opened should—as always—not be counted.
